Bayman's Flannel Button-Down Collar Shirt
This is the shirt Pop-Pop loved!
“Most knew him as ‘Piney’. We called him that ‘cause he grew up in Lumberton, right there on the edge of the Pine Barrens. His first real job was driving a school bus. He got awful smart driving that bus, he did, ‘cause by the time he went on, he’d built the largest law firm in southern Jersey. Wintertime, he’d spend at Diz’s shack on them broadbills or over at Forty-acre Pond sittin’ for black ducks. Summertime, he’d leave Mt. Holly by four o’clock. By quarter past five, he’d be in his boat headin’ down the bay… half-dressed and shirttail a flappin’… loved fishing that whitewater, he did. No matter what, he usually had his twin grandsons ‘long side…they called him Pop-Pop”

The Bayman’s Flannel Shirt is a mainstay of our shirt program. However, colors featured here are part of our small batch production run. Quantities are limited to available fabric and will not be restocked.
What a beautiful check flannel shirt to wear nearly year round (3 out of 4 seasons) here in the Carolinas.
Brown is a favorite color of mine because it’s so distinctive and disruptive in our modern age of conformity.
If you desire to be a non conformist (rugged individualist), then strong bold plaids and checks inherent in Atlantic Rancher patterns, is a sure way to flout uniformity and convention.
The nape of my Bayman’s check flannel shirt is equally soft inside as well as outside - giving it extra warmth and softness against the skin - to the point you may find yourself stroking your arm to enjoy the sensation - if you are a proud owner.
I’ve entertained a lot of flannel shirts in my life, but few hardy shirts have provided such rich color schemes and added warmth at such a great value.
My closet contains plenty of Filson and Patagonia shirts, but my new go to shirt in cool weather, are my Bayman flannel shirts. Given their rugged sense of individualism, great style, strong colors and extra warmth.
Need I say that I highly recommend this hardy robust boutique clothing designer house - when so many men’s clothiers have become uniformly boring, predictable and lackluster in their sameness.
This shirt has a nice hand and fills the gap between a heavyweight and lightweight shirt. It is pretty true to size and the cut falls between athletic and regular. Great placket sleeves and overall stitching appears precise. Overall a good quality product. I bought two.
Comfortable and warm. Perfect for winter on the Chesapeake Bay!
