A dockmaster’s job is tough enough on most days. Keeping the hull sides of a 87’ Merritt safe from an accidental scrape from an ambitious first-timer docking a 37’ center console is one example. Just ask Mike Wise, dock master at Hawk’s Cay Marina in The Keys. He sees more amusement park shenanigans during one shift than most of us see in a lifetime. On any given day, he can go from being an air traffic controller to a docking coach to a marriage counselor...all in single interactions!
Keeping his wits aligned is a critical aspect of his job...and so is keeping his keys righty-tighty and handy within a short reach, anchored to his pants...where they belong. It's here where he hangs the keys to the fuel pumps, the backup generator and the head, all which he keeps handy and organized on his Atlantic Rancher Dockmaster's Key Chain.
We built the Atlantic Rancher Dockmaster's Key Chain with guys like Mike in mind. Cut from HH weight, vegetable tanned American harness leather, marine grade hardware.
At one end is a stainless steel screw pin anchor shackle that holds your keys. At the other is a stainless steel, fixed snap shackle with pull pin for quick release from wherever it’s attached. Inbetween is the leather handle, hand cut and hand sewn from HH weight American harness leather. Fits real nice in your hand.

We don’t use a 3rd. fulfillment house to process your order. We pick, pack and ship all orders ourselves from our own warehouse. If we receive your order by 12pm PST, we usually ship it to you that day. Otherwise it will ship on the following business day.
Returns & Refunds
If you aren’t happy with what you’ve purchased from Atlantic Rancher, you may return it to us in like-new condition within 30-days of purchase and we’ll process a refund for the full purchase price of the item(s) being returned.

Well, it would be my grandpa's keychain if my grandpa had lived and worked somewhere on the eastern seaboard and not in Texas. The first time I held this keychain in my hand there was something familiar about it. Like a displaced family heirloom, it seemed to have showed up from another era. Comments: I wanted to get a dry cloth work jacket lock my Filson jacket, but unfortunately your buttons are so on and they would just rip off in my line of work, whereas the Filson jacket has the pressed on brass buttons

The key chain in built with heavy leather and fittings. I Love it, I have it on my belt loop with my keys. The only criticism I have is that the spring release is very hard for me to pull. I put a monkey’s fist on it to make it easier ( old heavy equipment mechanic hands )

After first purchasing the Atlantic Rancher Salt Farm Chore Coat which I think is a great coat, I decided that the DockMaster's Leather Key Chain would be a good addition to key my house keys and the fob for my Blazer safely in my pocket. It attaches to a loop in the jacket pocket to retain the chain and keys/fobs. I received the key chain very quickly. It is very functional and matches my chore coat. Great products and fast shipping.
