Story
The Cotton.
Our T’s and Pullovers are made from 100% Tanguis cotton, an indigenous crop grown and processed in Peru. Tanguis is an extra-long staple variety prized for its natural bright-white color and is significantly softer, stronger, and longer lasting than other cottons. It naturally resists pilling, shrinking, and disintegration over time.
The Yarn
We use a combed and ring-spun process for making our yarn. This is step-level change that significantly improves in the quality of the yarn. After the yarn fibers have been spun, they are combed to remove any impurities or imperfect strands. We use 20/1 yarn weight
The Build
We use a full cut-and-sew with side seams construction. Our t-shirts and pullovers are designed and tailored to conform to key measurements on the body, including: shoulder point, shoulder drop, chest, mid-section, hem, front length, back length, collar opening, front / back collar drop, armhole, and sleeve length.
This is in contrast to the less expensive, “tubular construction”…the one-size-fits-most, cookie-cutter approach to used in mass-production operations. Don't let anyone try to convince you that "tubular construction" is anything other than a way for makers to cut cost and you get a nice, boxy, ill-fitting shirt!
The Fabric and Finish
Our fabric starts out in the greige state which is the unbleached-undyed natural color of the cotton. After the garment is sewn, it is garment washed and pigment dyed for color. Finally, the garment is sea-salt washed to create the vintage, worn-in look and feel. The resulting fabric is a hefty, 8 oz. / mtr.
NOTE, THESE ARE THE MEASUREMENTS OF THE GARMENT...NOT YOUR PERSONAL BODY MEASUREMENTS. Also keep in mind this is a knit garment, which unlike a woven garment, has substantial expandability.
Shipping
We don’t use a 3rd. fulfillment house to process your order. We pick, pack and ship all orders ourselves from our own warehouse. If we receive your order by 12pm PST, we usually ship it to you that day. Otherwise it will ship on the following business day.
Returns & Refunds
If you aren’t happy with what you’ve purchased from Atlantic Rancher, you may return it to us in like-new condition within 30-days of purchase and we’ll process a refund for the full purchase price of the item(s) being returned.
Returns after the normal 30-day window are for store credit only.

I purchased both the white and blue. The only debate was on size. I'm between L-XL so it was a bit of a coin flip. I went with XL. Right call. The shirts are great, fit perfectly. They don't bind at chest/shoulders but they aren't baggy. These are four season shirts for me.
Everything I have received from you has been top quality, fits well, is warm and I love all the items. I have 6 pieces of clothing, and will not stop ordering!

Love the look and feel. Unfortunately they run small and I couldnt return because I had washed it and thrown away the packaging. I wear size Large (medium in hoody’s) and got a large which is tight and clings. Probably won’t be wearing this much because I hate clinging clothes especially tees. Stretching it out helps a little but still doesn’t fit right. ORDER A SIZE UP from your regular tee shirt size.
This is not your typical Long sleeve TShirt. This is a WINNER it’s made with a heavier fabric that feels durable and yet comfortable. It’s become a first choice in my rotation. What a great shirt. I’m hoping for some different designs so I have other options.

Recently purchased a Boatyard T-shirt and it is different than any T-shirt I have. The overall weight is slightly heavier and the stitching on the collar and sleeves is more robust than my other T-shirt. This T-shirt truly is constructed to be worn for years while having that broken in look you wait for. Great product, can’t say enough about the t-shirt except try one you’ll love it.
I’m slowly becoming obsessed with Atlantic Rancher gear and accumulate items as I can afford them. This boatyard pullover is truly wonderful. It feels bulletproof and looks amazing as part of a casual fall outfit. Slightly oversized as all functional outerwear should be without being baggy and unattractive. If I was wealthy I’d own it in several colors but for now the red has to do.

I don’t mind paying a little more for a quality product. Sadly, often times the item doesn’t fit the price tag. In this case they did, extremely well made products, quality definitely there.
The weight of the cotton fabric is just right. I like the pattern/stitching across the chest, and the simple graphics on the front and the sleeve. The diameter of the sleeves could be a little more “relaxed”.

A great heavy weight shirt. Top shelf fabric. Runs a bit small, so suggest up one size; so pick one up !!
Fabric, cut, colors and print designs are top notch. Just ordered two long sleeves so I’ll review them asap.
5’7” 146lbs, athletic build. Sz. M- I got my pullover and right away I knew this was gonna be a staple piece. The first wear feels like the cotton is learning how to fit perfectly. The “break in” period is fun and comfortable. Out of the wash is gonna be a new experience itself.
I have a long sleeve shirt that is 100% cotton of lesser quality and it gets pretty beat up but I can tell this is much better. I’m not a huge fan of graphic shirts or logos unless it looks timeless. What’s more timeless than the address of the brand printed on. Built like a tool for sure. Guys, she’s gonna steal this one!!

People Usually Ask
1. Where are your products made?
All of our shirts, pants, outerwear, sweater, belts and moccasins are made in Portugal, mostly in the same shops we've been working with for over 25 years. Our hand-sewn leather goods, hats and a few other items are made in America.
2. How would you describe the fit of your clothes?
Our fit is what we call contemporary, meaning they're not overly baggy or boxy, but have ample room and freedom of movement. Also, our outerwear is uninsulated, or very lightly insulated. It's cut with enough room to allow you to layer underneath, with a sweater, a vest or even a light down-filled jacket. For us, layering is always the way to go!
3. Will your shirts and pants shrink after washing?
Simple answer is no. All of our shirts and pants are pre-shrunk. At most you will experience a 2% shrink factor after washing and drying.
4. What is DryHandle®?
Dryhandle® is a 100% cotton, weatherproof fabric that we develop in 1995. Starting with 100% long-staple Egyptian cotton the thread is very tightly woven resulting in a fabric so dense that it's thornproof and, even at this stage, surpasses the U.S. government test for rainwear. The fabric is then impregnated through the proprietary DryHandle® process which irreversibly transforms the cotton fibers themselves to make them inherently water-resistant and stain-resistant. Unlike oiled or waxed cotton fabrics, DryHandle® is extremely lightweight, has no odor, won't stain other clothing or upholstery and resists stains from hard use and long wear. Despite being water-resistant, the weave contains millions of microscopic pores that vent moisture, making DryHandle® garments exceptionally breathable and comfortable to wear.
5. How long does delivery usually take?
Orders received by 2pm PST are usually shipped the same day. In most cases we ship via USPS Priority Package, and orders to the East Coast typically arrive in 4 days or less. West of The Mississippi orders arrive in 2-3 days.
6. How do i reach the founder of the company?

7. If an item is out of stock will you let me when it's available again?
We maintain an active "wait list." So when you send a message asking to be notified when the item, color and size becomes available, we actually do something worthwhile with your request. We catalog your request and email you once the item becomes available again.
8. Who writes your copy and are the stories true?
The answer to the first part of this question is: me, Engle Saez, founder of the company. For part #2...there's an old adage that applies here: "you can't make this shit up." And I will just say that the stories I tell are as true as I can make them and as accurate as my memory allows. That's a true story...
9: Where did the name Atlantic Rancher come from?
The origins of our company's name is a long story, one will share in blog post at some point. But for now, all should know that we are forever grateful to Susan Turner for her original and very creative idea.
10: How do I return or exchange a item?
Returns are easy, but please follow our process. Email us at orders@atlanticrancher.com, include your order number in the subject line and tell us what you'd like to return and why. We'll review your return request and email you a RMA (return merchandise authorization) with the return-to shipping address. Please be sure to package your item(s) thoughtfully so goods aren’t damaged in the process. Select and use the carrier of your choice as return shipping is not covered by us. Please select “signature required” to ensure your return package is receipt confirmed.
We’ll let you know via email when your package has been received, inspected and your refund is issued. Refunds usually take 5-10 business days to process.
If you need to exchange an item, the best process is this: 1. Place a new order for the item you want. 2. Return the item you don't want to us, following the process outlined above.
