My Bimini shirts (I have four colors) make me feel like a Mercury astronaut on a deep sea fishing trip off Cocoa Beach in 1961. They're absolutely classic - and after waiting three seasons for new colors, I can report that the new ones are even better. They feel storied. Thanks AR.

Homesteader’s best friend
A couple of years ago I lived up on an off grid homestead on Mauna Kea on the big Island Hawaii. I wanted something to stand up to the work and the weather: lots of tree work, caring for horses, ripping out thorns, lugging fuel for generators, building fences. This shirt in navy was the answer. If I had a signature look down in town it was my Boatyard, Levi 517s and red wing iron rangers. Fast forward a couple of years, working on the US mainland I lost it. I had to go out and immediately buy a duplicate.
I was impatient for my new one to arrive. Yesterday I went back to the conference center where I hold my board meeting, and there was my OG boatyard. So now I have two. I should have gone with a different color. These are indestructible and look amazing. They will outlast me. This is the best shirt on earth.

Such an awesome sweater
This is my second sweater from The Atlantic Rancher Company, and it’s a bit more traditional than the Ranger Uniform sweater. I really appreciate the difference! It’s a rugged, comfortable, and beautiful sweater. What I especially love are the two different stitch patterns, which make it such a unique piece. The blue Donegal yarn is gorgeous; I especially like the little bits of red, light blue, and almost white—they add character and make each sweater special. I haven’t worn it directly without an undershot, but it’s incredibly soft, and I think I could if I wanted to. I’ve worn it to work and gotten lots of compliments, but since it’s May in Virginia, it’ll probably stay inside for when the A/C is working too well.

I’m a small boat sailor. I’ve been racing dinghies since the 70’s and graduated to keel boats as I’ve aged. I’ve worn a lot of foulies in my day. This has replaced my daily. It does a great job of shedding the wind and spray. Keeps my dry and warm but not too hot. It moves well without the bulk of a traditional foul weather jacket. Great piece of gear.

A rain jacket that just feels right
I just purchased Marsh Anorak 30th Anniversary Edition Jacket. The look and the feel is really more than I expected. I have not worn the jacket in any rain but the way the jacket is constructed I cannot see a way I can get wet wearing the it. I cannot wait till my next fishing trip!
