The Essex Marsh Anorak was first featured in our 1996 fall catalog and coincided with arrival of Hurricane Edouard, the strongest tropical cyclone of the 1996 Atlantic hurricane season reaching winds of 145 mph. We thought
of it as the perfect union of weather and gear.
Our 30th Anniversary Edition is much like the original in purpose and style, but significantly improved by our 2nd
generation DryHandle, which has a longer lasting dry-wax treatment and is
machine washable and machine dryable. All the findings have been upgraded to
marine quality, including the zippers, snaps, elastic pull cords, and cord
locks.
The anorak design serves a practical purpose…it’s a pullover structure, combined with a half-zip neck, eliminates gaps and seams, offering superior weather protection by sealing out wind and rain while trapping rising body heat.
Go to the saltmarsh often…stay through the ebb, gather marsh heather and sea lavender…fill your lungs with that salty air and ride the oncoming tide home.
Shipping
We don’t use a 3rd. fulfillment house to process your order. We pick, pack and ship all orders ourselves from our own warehouse. If we receive your order by 12pm PST, we usually ship it to you that day. Otherwise it will ship on the following business day.
Returns & Refunds
If you aren’t happy with what you’ve purchased from Atlantic Rancher, you may return it to us in like-new condition within 30-days of purchase and we’ll process a refund for the full purchase price of the item(s) being returned.
Returns after the normal 30-day window are for store credit only.
